Thai Massage

Thai Massage is an ancient bodywork therapy based on yoga and Ayurveda which originated in the temples of Thailand. In this unique healing system of Thai Massage, also known as Thai Yoga Massage, the therapist guides the client through a series of yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the energy ("Sen") lines of the body. Thai massage healing techniques embraces the four states of mind: loving kindness, compassion, joy, and balance.

Thai Massage blends the following to achieve a relaxing healing experience:

  • Deep Stretching
  • Rhythmic Compressions
  • Yoga Postures
  • Shiatsu
  • Breath-Work

Before the Massage

Traditional Thai Massage is performed fully clothed, without any oils or creams. Please wear clothes that allow freedom of movement, such as yoga or exercise clothing. Long pants are preferred; shorts and shirts with hoods are not recommended. If it is your first time at the clinic please arrive 5-10 min. early to fill out a health questionnaire. Please let the therapist know if you have any health issues, current or past injuries, or movement restrictions to be respected. We do not perform Thai Massage on women who are pregnant.

During the Massage

Relax, focus on your breath and allow any stress to dissolve. Let the therapist know if you experience any discomfort during the massage.

After the Massage

A great way to prolong your relaxation is to have a warm epsom salts bath and enjoy some calming quiet time. Try to also drink plenty of water to hydrate and flush toxins.
