What is Non-RMT Massage?

RMT stands for Registered Massage Therapist and is a regulated profession in Ontario. They are covered by insurance companies and have 2 to 3 years of training. Non RMTs have training but soemtimes have not undergone the rigorous RMT training program and are not registered under the College Of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Therefore they charge less and ARE NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE. Non RMTs can offer numerous benefits for both the body and mind. Regular massage can help alleviate stress, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and enhance overall relaxation.

We do have a NON RMT that has successfully completed her 2 year massage therapy training program but did not seek registration. Her name is Caterina Booth. Hannah Dobbins also has extensive training in massage and is an excellent choice.

Deep Tissue Massage)

A complete hour of deep tissue massage tailored to your preference. This treatment helps to relieve tension in the muscles and can help in treating various injuries. Aromatherapy oil can be added for no extra charge.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy massage is the practice of using essential oils to create a benefit within the body. Choose from MUSCLE MAGIC, CHEER UP BUTTERCUP OR PEACEFUL NIGHT. The therapist will place some drops of the chosen essential oil on a tissue for you to inhale throughout your treatment as well as massage you with the same oil. Muscle magic helps with tension and tight, sore muscles. Cheer up buttercup is a beautiful citrus uplifting blend, great on dark winter days. Peaceful night is a relaxation blend to help with calming nerves and decreasing stress. Aromatherapy massage is a full body massage (unless you wish to spend more time in a certain area) and extremely beneficial.

Relaxation Massage

A complete hour of pure relaxation, enjoy soft music, soft lighting and aromatherapy. Your entire body is massaged including your face and décolleté. Finish off with a hot aromatherapy towel. A great way to de-stress and relax the mind and body. Aromatherapy oil can be added for no extra charge.
